NOPTIC Camera Install on Chevy Silverado SLPD – San Luis City, AZ
On September 7’th, 2016 – JSX Technology NOPTIC Spotligh Install Team traveled to the City of San Luis, Arizona. We visited San Luis Police Department and installed NOPTIC NV3 PSV-3000 Nighttime Optical Thermal Imaging Camera Systems on a 2016 Chevy Silverado vehicle. The pickup truck was recently purchased with Stone Garden funding (OPSG).
Prior to this encounter SLPD had a loaned NOPTIC Camera installed from JSX for about 18 months. The Police Department used it daily. During that time NOPTIC Night Vision Camera System was instrumental in making numerous arrests and in locating people who were hiding or running from police at night.

San Luis Lieutenant Victor Figueroa’s Testimonial:
“One tactic in particular that was employed in urban areas often was to use NOPTIC in one vehicle to spot a suspect on foot while driving past, and to keep driving. The NOPTIC car would then radio to a second patrol car who would then maneuver directly to the location that the suspects was hiding, then hit the spotlight when he was right on top of him. This was a very effective way to catch people. The NOPTIC was also effective for finding people hiding in fields or laying low. Usually, it was people out drinking or smoking pot.”
