The JSX Technology Data Memory Module (DMM) was designed for performance over a wide range of harsh conditions. Attached to the body of an APU, its function is to store a range of digital parameters related to operation and service of the engine. The unit is qualified DO-160.
The Data Memory Module also complies with RTCA DO-178b safety critical guidelines (Level-C) for airborne embedded software. The platforms where it is currently used include the Honeywell HGT-1000 installed on the Airbus A-350.
Airbus sends first A350 XWB into the sky
The first A350 XWB test flight comes to a successful end in Toulouse, France. This early phase of test flights resulted in the clearance of the entire flight envelope and initial testing of all key systems. These include engines, electrics, Ram Air Turbine (RAT), landing gear and braking, fuel and cabin pressurization as well as a preliminary assessment of the autopilot and auto-land functions. JSX Technology was involved with design and development of the Data Memory Module installed on the A-350XWB Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), a critical aircraft systems component. The Airbus A350 XWB utilizes the Honeywell HGT1700 which has greater power density and higher efficiency than the previous generation APUs.
